The Steep Toll

We all owe a debt of profound gratitude to all those who, through their own personal sacrifice–often in peril of their own physical wellbeing–were brave enough to fight for the human rights and civil rights that we have today. Change to deeply embedded biases and beliefs is achieved, by those brave few, at a price we must not forget.
